Golden Shears Awards

The Merchant Taylors’ Company supports the tailors of the future with its’ bi-annual Golden Shears Contest.

Congo Blue were honoured this year to be appointed Technical Producers of the prestigious event, and in this role we designed and delivered a sleek and modern catwalk stage that complimented the beautiful Merchant Taylors’ Hall venue and literally set the stage for a stylish and glamourous evening.

PRISTINE SCENIC WITH A MODERN TWIST

Congo Blue designed, fabricated, and installed a stylish rear set line which included a custom printed central logo panel with illuminated recesses for the Golden and Silver Shears statuettes to be displayed during the fashion catwalk and awards ceremony. As a brand-new feature for this year Congo Blue successfully integrated a portrait LED video wall to either side of the catwalk entrance, which provided the perfect platform for a combination of live camerawork also provided by Congo Blue, awards slides, and sponsor content, all of which brought the set to life and gave the event a huge ‘wow factor’ boost.
