BETA International is the world’s foremost equestrian and country trade exhibition,

so Congo Blue were delighted to be asked to design, build, and operate their Feature Catwalk and The Hub Seminar Theatre for a third year. The Catwalk plays host to the latest country, riding, and safety wear in a high-energy dance show as well as the prestigious Innovation Awards and drinks evening, while the Hub was home to a jam-packed timetable of presentations and panel discussions from industry experts.

MORE THAN JUST A CATWALK
1 Stage, 3 Revolves, 4 Levels, 6 Entrances

The Catwalk featured three revolves from our wide range of stage automation and effects which were sunk into the stage. Two single-person units on the rear side podiums allowed for powerful and striking moving-statue effects, while downstage a large 3.3m diameter revolve provided the basis for highly effective multi-person choreography including synchronised ‘walking on the spot’ and statue effects, all of which delighted the crowd! The revolves were controlled from backstage by the Stage Manager who always had their eye on the action thanks to Congo Blue’s stage monitor system.

LIGHTING

The catwalk was perfectly lit by our large quantity of evenly spaced Source Four Pars, which in conjunction with the beautiful colours provided by our StudioCob LED Pars located in strategic positions meant that all the clothing on display was the centre of attention. 8 Robe Robin 600s were the perfect addition to bring movement and energy to the dance scenes and keep the party going!
